hi guys ,

I have windows xp as host , Openbsd 4.3 as guest and Linux Fedora as my DHCPD server .

I would like to OpenBSD get the ip address from linux .


192.168.1.1 is the linux Dhcpd Router and Main Server .

The only address That OpenBSD gets is 10.0.2.15 from the Vbox Nat .....

What exactly should I put in order to acomplish this using the command :
VBoxManage modifyv ?

Hi and welcome to our forum. You might want to take this opportunity to browse the Forum Posting Guide. This contains some useful tips on how to search for VBox knowledge and how to frame Qs.

Read the UG sections on networking. You are currently using NAT. If you want your guest to have a real network address then you need to use bridging. The manual explains how to set this up for Windows. It is a little tricky so read carefully. You will also have problems if you PC uses Wifi rather than a cable connect. For various reasons this is difficult to configure with a bridged network.
