VB Screen size

Is there any way to change the screen size in Virtualbox? Full screen mode isn't really fullscreen, it just changes the rest of the window to black.
I am running Ubuntu 7.10
Any help is appreciated.

Have you installed the Guest Additions? If not, please read chapter 4 (especially section 4.3) in the manual for a start.

No info supplied, not even if you read the user manual, which clearly states how to achieve what you want. You have to install the Guest Additions. Read the manual or
VirtualBox FAQ for instructions. I'm locking this one. Be sure to have the proper packages installed (hint: install build-essential).
