when i try to start a vm in xp, windows hardware detection wizard jumps in and freezes everything - i have to crash out with the power button - is there a workaround for this?

OK seems the problem was having usb enabled in settings at the first boot. I've heard that this is a problem on some motherboards - seems its true in the virtual world too.
