unable to access usb 4gig key in win2k guest vbox 2.0.4

I am unable to access usb 4gig key in win2k guest. The host is mepis 8.0 beta.

Some of us at the mepis lovers forum have been working to sort out the problem without success:

What could be done?

There are two ways:

- Shared Folders => install Guest Additons

- Connect via USB, setup USBFS => read User Manual, FAQ

Thanks for the rapid reply. However, I did resolve the problem.

I plug the usb key before starting the vbox win2k guest. Select do nothing when a box request me what to do with the usb key.

I start the win2k guest and then select with right click the usb key icon at down left corner. Select the usb key (in my case sony). It will then appear under window explorer.
