Using different NICs for each VM

Post by mikbai »

Is this possible? I'm pretty green when it comes to VMs, so not 100% sure on this. We need to set up a test system with 4 different NICs pinging to a device. It was suggested to use 4 different VMs on the Windows box. The guest will be Damn Small Linux. Even before I get to the DSL, how would I assign a 4 VMs to 4 different NICs?

Thanks in advance.

For Windows, you can't have more than 1 bridge (with a little work-around you can have 2). Only if your Host is Linux, you can create more bridges. You could try to bridge all eight (or five if you use aliasses in the Guest) together to form one big bridge on the Host, but I don't think that's your intention.
