ubuntu on vista

Hi all

I'm running vbox on my computer that has 3gb of ram and an AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dual core processor 1.9 GHz windows vista is my host I'm running windows XP as a Guest and it works fine. But when I try ubuntu it will not work ubuntu run's slow and lags I have give it 1gb of ram. How can I get it to work? Please help thank you.

What are your settings for XP and Ubuntu? And what do you consider slow? Be more specific. Please see the Forum Posting Guide for help providing the needed information.
