Unable to install MacOS VM on Win 10
Posted: 13. Sep 2022, 09:37
I keep running into one of two issues, either the VirtualBox runs into a critical error, or it runs into a looped kernel panic.
I am simply trying to get a working VM of MacOS Monterey 12.5 or higher, as I need xcode for a class and do not have a Mac. xcode requires 12.5 MacOS or newer in the App Store on Mac.
I have a working VM version of Catalina, but when I try and upgrade from the Catalina 10.15.7 to 12.6 in the update center, it will run until it runs into a critical error. One time it did finish restarting and completed, but it was still on 10.15.7 after.
I also found an ISO containing macOS 12- 21A5248p (apparently 12.5 in beta) and I get the same issue, either VB runs into a critical error, or it loops through a Kernel Panic and goes into GuruMeditation.
I could not get a log attached that created after the error, as the log post-error is over the file attachments size requirements. The only log I could get under 128 KiB was while the system was running without errors (attached). I posted a partial log below in the body of the post that should represent the issue (though I don't see anything that is saying there is an issue), as I cannot post the log as an attachment with the error as it exceeds the maximum file size attachment rules for the site. The attached log is one from the system running, otherwise the log is always over 128 KiB.
I posted System Specs as an attachment as well. Please let me know anything else I can provide. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
