any trick to getting host, wireless adapters working in vbox

I have been easily successful in getting my wired network adapter working in each vbox I have, but not nearly as successful with the wireless ones. Is there some trick I am missing or configuration option I am missing that makes this work? Thought/suggestions appreciated.

If you use Host Interfaces and a Bridge, then you can't easily do that for wireless. But if you use NAT on the VMs, then the internet will work just fine on the Guests. You just have to make sure that the primary DNS is working properly, or you won't be able to resolve names.
thanks, but...

the actual problem is that it doesn't apparently see the wireless adapter, although the host see's it fine.

The actual problem is that you don't know what a Virtual Machine is all about. Please see the
VirtualBox FAQ, it has a link to Wikipedia that explains what a VM actually is. You can't expect it to see the hardware you have in your PC. Set the NIC attached to NAT and you will have internet. Don't even try to ping a machine, you won't get a reply.
I don't appreciate the way your last reply was written

While I may have misstated my question, I do not believe there was any call for the condescending tone I read in your reply here. I have worked with NAT and vm's in vmware for years, and am quite capable in setting them up. Upon examination, I had unchecked something that ended up being the cause of my problem No further help or reply is required.
