Network configuration between a device and virtual ubuntu

I want to make a connection between an embedded and virtual ubuntu as following the attached image.
I have tried it for a few days, but I couldn't get it.
Could you let me know how to set it?

Use Bridged Networking, i.e. the VM participates in the physical home network. The actual IP addresses assigned will be up to your network.
