After upgrading to version 6.1.36 the program Virtualbox starts without a problem.
When I start a VM (I tried 4 different ones) I get:
The VM session was aborted.
Result Code: E_FAIL (0x80004005)
Component: SessionMachine
Interface: ISession {c0447716-ff5a-4795-b57a-ecd5fffa18a4}
My host is Windows 7. All VM's worked before the update without problems.
Do I really have to remove and install a older version?

First, confirm that you have also updated the Extension Pack, if you're using it.
Second, keep in mind that Windows 7 hosts aren't supported anymore in 6.1, so at some point new versions wont work anymore.
Third, try reinstalling 6.1.36 using right-click-Run-As-Administrator.

If you can downgrade to the previous version you had and Virtualbox starts working again, then that's good data to discover the problem.CaseB wrote:Do I really have to remove and install a older version?

I installed the Extension pack again over the already installed version and now version 6.1.36 works fine for all VM's.
I also checked the harddisk, but no problems.
Anyway, everything works now. Thanks for your help.
