No hardening problems. The guru meditated on a 'triple fault', which is Virtualbox's "beats the living daylights out of me what's going on" error message.

Is this a new VM or an old one? If new, try setting the VM to 2 processors. If old, it could have gotten corrupted, restore from a backup. Also if old, try making a new VM to see if it's a host issue.

It looks like the graphics chipset has been overridden, so perhaps other things have also been messed with.

Hey, apologies for the late response.

The VM version is new and ive changed the amount of processors to 2 as you said, but still the same prompt unfortunately and for the graphics chipset being overriden thing im not too sure on what that would mean, should i download a later version for my graphics driver? It has been crashing lately on games causing performance issues so i can see how that would be the problem.

I was actually trying to find out if you made the VM fresh and installed the OS in it brand-new. That "version" is throwing me off, I'm not sure if you're possibly talking about the host Virtualbox version or the VM OS version.

New Linux VMs made by Virtualbox since 6.0 use the VMSVGA virtual video card. Your VM is using the old VboxVGA video card. If it was an old VM made before 6.0, then that can be expected. If it's from 6.0 or later, then the video card was changed manually.

So could you please clarify, is this a new VM, or an old one?

If you want to trick me into helping you to get a Hackintosh setup running, you have to become much smarter than only replacing all occurrences of "macOS" by "Ubuntu" in the VBox.log file.

Sharp eye, fth0!
00:00:01.996958 File system of 'C:\Users\Man\Downloads\Ubuntu_Sierra_10_12.iso' (DVD) is ntfs
Which curiously sounds a lot like MacOS Sierra 10.12.... Could just be a naming glitch in an ISO, though.

Going to pause this one until we hunt this through. Please see OSX guests on non-Apple hardware.

I was suspicious too. The DMI product name "ROG Strix G513QY_G513QY" was unusual to me, but I had seen the exact same thing just the previous day from a user "Leah" who was trying to get a Hackintosh running. However Leah also hijacked an irrelevant topic to ask his question, which led me to simply delete his post and pm him about it. Just a note then that Leah and Haroldman may be the same person.

I've wondered in the past if anyone would ever try faking the log to get past this rule, but then thought it would make no sense to lie about the failure scenario to be solved.
