It's elapsed time, not wall clock time.

You can try posting a feature request on BugTracker, though it will certainly be ignored unless you can highlight what huge commercial advantage would be had.
Understand that the log is not intended for users. It's intended to provide diagnostic information to the devs in the event of a problem. So the log will contain whatever info helps them, not you.
Also note that the log does contain wall clock time on the second line. Other wall clock times can be calculated by adding elapsed time.

I thought I'd heard of wall clock times in a log, see this: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=99559#p482996 Times will still be in UTC though, you have to manually adjust for your time zone.
But do note that the unmodified startup also provides the UTC time of the start of the VM, which can be offset by the times in the usual log, so the same info may be arrived at.

A long time ago, a paying Oracle customer said, "Why does the log have both relative and absolute times for each line? I don't know why this is by default... crazy i.m.o..."jmar83_the2nd wrote:I don't know why this is not by default... crazy i.m.o...
