Hi,

My virtualbox suddenly stopped working with this message.

I also reinstalled with an older version and again with the new one and always get the same. Runs for a few seconds and is always getting that window no matter the distro.

You'll notice that [IMG] tags don't work for 3rd-party-link sites. [IMG] only works for images previously uploaded using the forum's Upload Attachment tab. You can find your previous attachments under your forum User Control Panel link, Manage Attachments.

You had a guru meditation. Your 3rd-party antivirus has enabled its internal setting to use hardware virtualization for its scanning. This setting interferes with Virtualbox. Disable the antivirus setting for hardware virtualization and Virtualbox will probably work fine again.

Thanks. I deactivated on the AntiVirus the option.

Don't remember any warning or update that could activate the option and I've been using virtualbox for quite a while (1 to 3 months and no issue).

It's a new thing that's happening, especially on Avast and AVG antivirus. It has been done by AV makers before, though.

Once again stopped working even the antivirus disabled.

So I decided to uninstall AVG, and I also saw some posts about problems with AVG and Avast. Then I decided to give it a try with bidefender.

No problems so far.
