When would be virtualbox compatible with Windows 11?

Hi, sorry about the question about release dates.
Im a teacher of vocational education, and many of my students have upgraded their systems to windows 11 ( most of them accidentally

)
So they cant use virtualbox and their vms that have stored in usb hard drive.
So can we expect a compatible version soon ? If not is there any patch or workaround to make virtualbox run in W11 ?
Thanks and sorry

I'm not sure I fully understand the question. I'm not aware that VirtualBox has ever had a problem being installed on Win11 hosts, nor with running pre-existing VMs once there.
Naturally, after any big feature update to Windows you may have to reinstall VirtualBox. Win11 is no exception.
All of the Win11 discussion hereabouts has been regarding Win11 as a guest, in particular because of its requirements for TPM and CPU - which btw can still be circumvented I believe.

Then im also confused, i thought that vbox was still not compatible with windows 11. If you read requriments it says you can use windows 8.1 and 10, still nothing with w11.
I have met that two or three of my students, they have upgraded to w11 ( accidentally, they thought it was a "normal daily or weekly update"). And then they cannot use vbox any more. They obviously tried to reinstall again, and downloading latest version....( in class we use 6.1.28 as was the latest stable release when the course began).
So if you say that there is no problem to run vbox in windows11, im mad
Thanks for you help...

You can certainly have problems running VirtualBox on a Windows 11 host, but I have not yet found a problem which did not exist in Windows 10. That said, some people experience problems when they update, either Win10 to Win10 or Win10 to Win11. The most common cause is that the upgrade has enabled something which activates the Windows hypervisor.

Please encourage your students who have Virtualbox troubles to post their problems here on the forum. Our gurus here will be happy to help.
One thing I think I've seen is where Windows 11's Program Compatibility Assistant claims Virtualbox is not compatible. That's bunkum, of course, as several Windows 11 host posters here on the forum can testify. But I seem to recall this PCA false positive happens on Windows 11 Insider Preview hosts. You might check to see if the students are running an Insider Preview. After they take a backup image, they might do better running mainstream 11.
