problem after downgrade from windows 10 to 7

I tried updating my windows pc from 7 to 10 but that failed.
One of the things i did when on windows 10 temporary was installing latest version of virtualbox.
Now when i had to go back to windows 7 , virutalbox still starts up normally but all machiness do not start anymore. also re-adding a new machine is not possible.

I tried to deinstall/reinstall virtual box but that gives an error de-installing the current version that it cannot find VirtualBox-6.1.30-r148432.msi (which is not found on my pc)
So im stuck i cannot use it and cannot remove/reinstall

We need precise error messages please.

If you get the "cannot find MSI" error then you deleted the VirtualBox installer. That is not a good idea, you always need to keep the last installer around: that rule should apply to all software.

If the reason you deleted it is because you downloaded to the desktop and ran it from there then I suggest you stop doing that. Set aside a hard disk folder for installers, and always copy the installer exe into that folder before running it, and then leave the installer there until replaced.

In the meantime, to fix the error you need to download the 6.1.30 installer, extract the MSI, and put the msi in the exact folder designated in the error message. For how to extract: search the user manual for MSI.

Hi, Thanks for your reply, i never delete the msi files , but i guess this is caused because it was done on windows 10 temp user space which might got removed after rolling back to windows 7.
I upload printscreens of the error i get.
If you have some link on where i can find more information on how to extract an msi file from the vitualbox installer application then that would be most helpfull
