Hello All,

I am facing a common issue with USB device not being recognized. I am working with Ubuntu VM on Windows machine.

I was previously working with version 6.1.30 and everything was working fine. But I updated to version 6.1.32 and I regret it now!. I have also installed Extension pack for v6.1.32 but, still USB devices are not working. I have done below steps to work with USB devices:

1. Stopped Ubuntu 20.04 Virtual machine.
2. Enabled USB controller (USB 2.0) in VM setting.
3. Added USB filer with only Name, Vendor ID and Product ID. I have verified Vendor ID.
4. Started VM and logged in and it is completely running.
5. Inserted USB to host. But it is not recognized by VM. Whereas with previous VirtualBox version it worked.
6. USB is recognized by Windows host. Ejected USB from host but still same issue.
7. USB filter values are not populated (like Revision, Manufacturer,...)
8. Tried with USB 3.0 controller but same result.

Other things like Shred Folders are working fine. I didn't expect updating to newer version would make things unhappy!

Can anyone please let me know what could be the issue here and how to resolve it?

Please provide a VM log file. Pick a VM, run it, make sure the VM is fully shut down, then right click it in the manager UI. Select "Show Log" and save "VBox.log" (no other file) to a zip file. Attach the zip here.
