Can't open virtual machine, error message!
Hello, I have just suddenly started getting this error message and I am no longer able to open the virtual machine, ''A critical error has occurred while running the virtual machine and the machine execution has been stopped.'' It requests that i provide the contents of the log file and the image file VBox.png. How should i provide the contents to the log file? Should i copy and paste the text or use another method? Also, I don't know where to find the image file. Help please.

Both files can be zipped, then posted using the forum's Upload Attachment tab.

The image file might not be needed.

A zipped log does not have a "1" extension.scottgus1 wrote:files can be zipped

You have superfluous third party AV installed (AVG or Avast), and it interferes with VirtualBox. The AV software has an option to not use hardware virtualization.00:00:05.755833 !! VCPU0: Guru Meditation -2708 (VERR_VMM_SET_JMP_ABORTED_RESUME)

That fixed it, hardware assisted virtualisation was turned on in Avast. Thanks a lotmpack wrote:You have superfluous third party AV installed (AVG or Avast), and it interferes with VirtualBox.
