Virtualbox friendly anti virus?

Post by Netstaff »

Hello. Looking for antivirus solution for a workstation that regularly needs to run virtual machines without limits. I want hassle free hardware virtualisation. Is Norton, for example, good?

Impossible to say until you precisely identify the host OS. On Windows 8 and later I would not deviate from Windows Defender.

I would search the forum and see which AV have issues with VB and stay way from them.

I use AVG on my Windows 10 host and it works without causing VB any issues (I have the hyper-v 6.1.32 issue, so I have gone back to 6.1.30). Just because it works for me, does not mean you may not find issues on your OS and setup as it will be different to mine.
