Hey there, hope someone can help me.
I´m a student From UC and i was doing a project for one of my subjects in Vm.
I was writting code and popped a warning about having no more free memory, so i turned of the Vm so i could allocate more memory for my project.
After i allocated the memory i tried to start the Vm and it goes directly to the terminal asking me for the password and user name , after i get my login right it continuous in the terminal , it doesn´t take to the normal desktop so i can continue working.
Can someone please help me , i have all my project there.
Hope everything its ok !
Best regards.
PM.

Provide a VM log file. Make sure the VM is fully shut down, then right click it in the manager UI. Select "Show Log" and save "VBox.log" (no other file) to a zip file. Attach the zip here.

Thanks for the log. I'm not sure that I see anything that would stop the Ubuntu guest from booting into the desktop, but I do see a number of things I would change:
  • I would increase guest RAM to 4096MB.
  • I would allocate 2 vCPUs to the guest.
  • I would increase graphics RAM to 128MB.
  • I would update the Guest Additions (you are currently on 6.0.0 - preinstalled by Ubuntu).
  • I would eject the Ubuntu install ISO that's still in the virtual CD/DVD drive.
If you still get a RAM error then please give us the text of that error.
