HELP: connect usb blu ray drive win11 host win7 guest
I am trying to connect an usb blu ray (USB 3.2) external drive to win 7 guest (host win 11). I have set the filter in the USB section to the vendor/device reference (USBDeview) and port# of the host. No entry in Storage section. I think, I did it by the book but all in vain. Still getting the message that the guest cannot connect the usb drive. Error Message: VERR_PDM_NO_USB_PORTS. I assume that there is no available port to connect the device. Any suggestions are very welcome! Thx

No mention of installing the host extension pack as this provides the USB3.x feature to VMs?
Also Win7 has no native support for xHCI (USB3). You need to install the Intel driver pack.
