Can I know after setting my VM as "SSD",will it run faster or it will just tell the operating system that it is a "SSD" only without making the performance better?I am using SSD as my host system. Thanks!

No, it will not make the VM run faster in general. That setting simply lets the guest OS know that e.g. disk defrag is not something it needs to do, so of course if you had that function enabled to run periodically (AFAIK most do not), then you would save that overhead. Assuming of course that the guest OS is modern enough to know what an SSD is: you did not say what the guest OS is.

If you locate the VM on a SSD then it already runs as fast as it ever will, give or take a coin toss or two.
