Hi, so VirtualBox 5.2.44 apears to be the last x86 build and I'm able to install W10 x64 on W7SP1 x86 host but no luck with W11 if I modify registry to bypass TPM/RAM/SecureBoot before installation, I guess I'm out of luck please?

I can't get RUFUS to provide the option to bypass it for some reason and was hoping to test-drive W11 tweaks in a VM before going live. There's also a tweak to modify the ISO but that sound super annoying so would love to know whether it works please.

VMWare has gone x64-only since forever so I guess there won't be any test-drive huh

To test that claim at least one of us would have to obtain and install Win7-32bit on some suitable idle hardware, then install an old and unsupported copy of VirtualBox, and then try to install Win11... and all to say "works for me" (or not)? I don't know how many takers you'll get there.

If I wanted to dip my toe in the Win11 water then I'd simply back up the target host first, e.g. using Macrium Reflect. That way I can always go back. In fact I did do precisely that, and I did go back to Win10 though the issue proved not to be Win11's fault.

The "tweak to modify the ISO" isn't so bad, it's basically the same tool that's been around for a couple of decades to "slipstream" an install disk. I used it to install Win11 as a VM a few months back and it worked fine. You can prepare the ISO before imaging your PC.
