Copy/paste doesn't work w10

Recently I created a VM with the next features:

Host: W10 PRO 21H1 x64
Guest: W10 PRO 21H2 x64
VB: 6.1.32
Guest Additions Installed
Share Clippboard: Enable

But I can't get the shared clipboard and drag&drop to work. I try to reinstall Virtual box and Guest Additions without success.

I cant copy/paste (text for example) from host to guest neither from guest to host.

I attach the VBOX.log in case you see anything.

Please elaborate on "doesn't work".

I can confirm that you have the GAs installed, so there's no need to install them again.

Btw, "clipboard" and "drag and drop" are separate features, so in this topic let's confine the discussion to the clipboard. What exactly are you trying to copy/paste?

I cant copy/paste (text for example) from host to guest neither from guest to host.

Yes, I have enable both features(separete) but none work.

E.g. copying ASCII text from Notepad++ on the host to NotePad++ in a Windows guest should always work. Copying text from MSWord to MSWord will not work because it isn't simple text.

I tried to copy the text "test1234" from Notepad( host) to Notepad(Guest) and the other way around.


I have another virtual machine with w7 on the same host where I can perform the same operation (Copy from host notepad to guest notepad a simple text).

In that case I have no idea what the problem is. Perhaps some AV you installed in Windows 10 interfering.

The part of the VirtualBox Guest Additions (GA) that's not working is the VBoxTray.exe application which is usually shown as VirtualBox Guest Additions Tray Application in the Windows Task Manager. Besides checking why it cannot be started, please provide the Windows 10 PRO SEF22.vbox file, which will probably show us the version numbers of the different GA components.
