Installed vbox for virtual Win 95 on a microsoft surface 2 with Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-1035G7 CPU @ 1.20GHz 1.50 GHz running Windows 10 Home ver. 20H2.
For the cd install command on DOS screen, at the C:\> prompt I am getting 'CDR101 : not ready reading drive c: (A,R,F?)'
Is there a solution for this? If you need a log or something, I will need to be instructed on how to submit it properly.

Re: Noob cannot change directory
It sounds straightforward: Win95 is trying to access the virtual CD drive for some reason and finds nothing there. Either the virtual drive is empty or you didn't include an IDE CD drive in the VM recipe.
Note that VMs have no access to host hardware. If you put a CD in a host drive then the VM will only see it if you map that host drive to the virtual drive in the VM settings or in the Devices|Optical Drives menu of a running VM.

Got it fixed. I was better off using programs from Winworld rather than programs from getmyOS.
