Q: Is the disk file now going to have a red icon (as opposed to .vhd's blue?)

Quite likely. Different icons are used for different disk types. Precise colors can be determined by renaming the extension on a .txt file. vdi, vmdk, vhd, etc.

I believe this utility should be forthcoming with more diagnostics at completion.

FWIW CloneVDI appears to concentrate on the source file, not the destination file.

We are all volunteer unpaid posters, and free Virtualbox users are entitled to zero (0) support. A weekly bump would be OK. More often gets annoying and might lead to being ignored.
