Why did my update screen go grey? I did make one change, I updated the CPU, startup now grey

I think it was black, but now it is grey.
Seems to work just fine, otherwise?
I made one single change, I changed the CPU ID type.
I am going from Monterey 12.1 something to 12.2.1

Tweaking the CPU can have unexpected results. (others, see
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=105339 in Windows Hosts)
Moving to Mac Guests, as this appears to be about guest tweaks.
Start the VM from full normal shutdown, not save-state. Run until you see the problem happen, then shut down the VM from within the VM's OS if possible. If not possible, close the Virtualbox window for the VM with the Power Off option set.
Right-click the VM in the main Virtualbox window's VM list, choose Show Log. Save the far left tab's log, zip it, and post the zip file, using the forum's Upload Attachment tab.
