Windows XP on VM is stoping to the windows advanced option menu

Post by RonaldMT »

Hello,

I have a VM of windows XP on an windows 10. The windows says that it may not started successfully because of an hardware or software update, but I didn't updated anything. What ever the option I chose to press it's restarting. I will upload a picture of a translation, doe to the windows polish language, of the text.
Please help me with some advice, I got some expensive mechanical parts catalogues on that VM and I will like not to lose them.

Thank you!

Fix it from the bios. The laptop is a Dell and I checked the Enable Intel Virtualization Technology and the Enable VT for Direct I/O.

Maybe it will be helpfull for others.

Only the 'Virtualizaion Technology' (VT-x) is really needed. The other one (VT-d) can be on or off, it is not used by Virtualbox.

Glad you're up and running!
