The following is the start time for Linux Mint to show the LM icon on the guest screen on my PC for various VB versions in the able:

VB Version Boot Time (MM:SS)
6.1.30 r148432 1:05
6.1.32 r149290 3:13
6.1.33 r149396 1:58
6.1.97 r149426 2:44

As you can see 6.1.32 is way slower than 6.1.30. Also LM on 6.1.32 does not reliably open apps or work correctly.

The testing above was done with exactly the same Windows 10 host OS with no reboots or changes to the running apps with the exception of installing the different VB hosts versions. So it looks like another good VB release like 6.1.28 was!!!!!!

Yeah, my Windows is unusable in its desktop after booting up. I had to downgrade back to .30.

Exactly the same issue with VB 6.1.32.

I could not agree more with AndyCot's comment.

I had to downgrade to version 6.1.30

Can you additionally provide the values of /TM/VirtualSync/CurrentOffset from the VBox.log files? You'll find them near the end of the statistics near the end of the VBox.log files after shutting down the VM. I'd like to see how they correlate with the additional times in your case.

Ok. Did you do some of your previous tests more than once? While I expect the booting times of all versions >= 6.1.32 to be considerably longer than with 6.1.30, in my own tests multiple runs with the same version gave widespread results already.

They are not averages.

VirtualBox-6.1.97-150113-Win is still stuffed. log attached.

Please try the VirtualBox test build 6.1.35r150972 (or newer), which includes a potential bugfix.
