Unable to have audio in Ubuntu 8.04 with VBox on Windows

Post by rrocafort »

Hello

I need help with VirtualBox 2.0.2 I have VBox installed on Windows Vista 32 bit. I can't get audio to work on Ubuntu 8.04. I have tried Null Audio Driver, Windows Direct Sound, and audio controller ICH AC97 and Soundblaster 16, and put them in any combination you can think of. I still can't get audio in Ubuntu. I looked in the User manual, and I see not much help there. Can anyone help me with the steps necessary to get audio in Ubuntu?

Thank you very much in advance for your kind help

Vista and VB Audio issues have been discussed before. For some it works, for some it doesn't. It's best to use the search (or google, as described in the Forum Posting Guide) and continue in the ongoing topic. You will get more reponse there too and hopefully come to a solution.
Read the Forum Posting Guide before opening a topic.
