so recently i was just setting up my windows 7 ultimate, but during the file extracting an error appeared saying:

The I/O cache encountered an error while updating data in medium "ahci-0-0" (rc=VERR_DISK_FULL). Make sure there is enough free space on the disk and that the disk is working properly. Operation can be resumed afterwards.

but my laptop disk isnt full, and im unable to use my image. how can i fix this?

Give us the numbers. Show a picture of the folder which contains your VM, be sure the picture includes the drive letter. Then add a picture showing the properties of that drive (size, free space, file system, etc).

And while in the drive properties dialog, check that quotas have not been assigned.
