VirtualBox Host-Only Network #12

Post by ncc1701 »

Morning all,
Is it normal for VB to add 12 host-only adapters?

No that's not normal. In version 6.1 and earlier, you can see the Virtualbox Host-Only adapters it wants to make in the main Virtualbox window, File menu, Host Network Manager. If you don't see all those Host-Only networks in the Manager, it could be that a previous major update of Windows cause the existing Host-Only adapter to be marked unusable and Virtualbox had to make another one.

You can decide what Host-Only networks to keep in the Manager. Web-search how to clear old Host-Only Adapters left over by Windows Updates by adding the site restrictor term: site:forums.virtualbox.org to your search terms (at the moment I don't remember how to do this).
