How to uninstall Virtualbox
How to uninstall Virtualbox
I uninstalled it, being that I need to do a Windows update. The windows update keeps telling me to Uninstall it as it isn't compatible with Windows 10. I did restart my PC after I uninstalled it.

Virtualbox is most definitely compatible with Windows 10. It could be possible you have a really old version installed.
But Virtualbox can be uninstalled using Windows' Norman uninstall methods, web-search how to uninstall programs in Windows 10.

I tried uninstalling it but it keeps saying it's still on my PC. I also tried upgrading the Virtualbox too.

Re: How to uninstall Virtualbox
When I try to update WIndows a Windows 10 Update window pops up and says. "What needs your attention. The following things need your attention to continue the installation and keep your Windows settings, personal files, and apps. VirtualBox Uninstall this app now because it isn't compatible with Windows 10. Manually uninstall."

Re: How to uninstall Virtualbox
If it is still installed, it should show up in installed programs, and you can delete it from there.
If is not properly installed and doesn't show up there but Windows thinks it is installed, you will probably need to edit the registry to remove what traces are left (or do a clean install if all else fails).

Re: How to uninstall Virtualbox
I wonder if Windows isn't just noticing the presence of VM folders. So you may have to remove those too.
And btw, no way this topic belongs in "Windows Guests". Topic moved to "Windows Hosts".

Re: How to uninstall Virtualbox
Do you know how to edit the registry or remove the files in the VM folders? I don't know much about how computers work.

Re: How to uninstall Virtualbox
The real problem here is that your computer is really screwed up, unfortunately. There should be no reason why a Windows 10 update should complain about the presence of Virtualbox. Virtualbox is fully compatible with all officially-released Windows 10 versions.
Personally, I'd take a full disk backup of the host with a reliable backup program (like Macrium Reflect Free). Then copy all your data and apps & downloads, and wipe the drive and start over with a fresh install of 10. Your computer has deeper problems to have this kind of trouble installing an MS update.

Editing the registry is beyond the scope of this forum. You'd have to web-search how to remove all traces of an installed program from the registry then apply that solution to your registry regarding Virtualbox.
Removing the files in the VM folders involves finding and deleting the VMs you made in Virtualbox. The default locations on a Windows host are:
C:\Users\{youraccount}\.Virtualbox (note the period in the folder name)
C:\Users\{youraccount}\Virtualbox VMs
If you stayed with the defaults, then all the Virtualbox data should be in these two folders. You'll have to find other VMs if you manually made them or moved them to a non-default folder. If you want to keep your VMs, successfully copy these folders to backup media. Then delete the folders from your computer.

Thanks for your help, I think I'll try to bring it to Best Buy and see if they can fix it.
