Vista Host With XP guest USB 2.0 trouble

i cannot get USB devices to be found in my XP pro guest unless I do the following:


if i disable VIA USB Enhanced Host Controller on the vista host device manager, then plug my usb device in then XP pro Guest will find the device and tell me that the device could perform faster.

My Host USB Controller is made by VIA (VIA Rev 5?)

does anyone else fail to have their Vista Host pass USB 2.0 devices to their guest OS?

it just doesn't work unless i turn off USB 2.0 on my host before I plug it in...
