Hi,

I converted a VM from VirtualBox to VMware, but when I start it and login on the Linux, it says 3 warning messages to the right top "VBoxClient: The VirtualBox kernel server is not running. Exiting."
I tried to do: apt-get purge virtualbox-guest*

But still same problem, any ideas how I can fix this one?

Sounds like you need to purge the Guest Additions.

And this is a Linux Guests question, not a Linux Hosts question. I'll move the topic.

Thanks for moving the thread.
I did run: apt-get purge virtualbox-guest*
But it didn't solve it, any other thing I can try?

Sorry, I'm not a Linux user, so Linux tuition will have to come from someone else. A support forum for your distro for example.

To be clear: VirtualBox is open source. Sometimes people take the source and build parts of it into their Linux kernels, or offer prebuilt apps from their package managers. If they choose to do that then those responsible will provide their own support.

If you've installed the official VirtualBox Guest Additions from Oracle (and not those from your Linux distribution's package manager), look for a file named like /opt/VBoxGuestAdditions-6.1.26/uninstall.sh.
