Unintalling VirtualBox with OpenSolaris Installed

Post by sigma2 »

Hi all,

I am new here and need some help in uninstalling Virtual Box.
I manged to install Opensolaris in my VirtualBox and my laptop is running on windows Xp.

I am having some memory issues while running Opensolaris.Allocated harddisk space for the virtualbox is 8GB and solaris is installed on it.

How can i uninstall both opensolaris and VirtualBox?If I am uninstalling VB ,will it uninstall Opensolaris as well.

thanks in advance

When uninstalling, your VMs will not be removed. This is done for if you upgrade/downgrade the program. If you want to remove everything of VB, you can either remove all the VMs and virtual harddrives using the GUI, or just simply remove the .virtualbox folder in your user profile. Of course you still need to remove it using the control panel ;).
