I can plug in the device (USB) and linux host sees the device but there is no linux support right now, so i thought i could just run it in the WindowsXP Guest OS. This is where the problem is. The guest OS (winXP) doesn't see the device at all. I even went into the settings for the guest and tried to setup a filter, but it doesn't see any devices plugged in. I am not real sure on how to force this, but would love some help or ideas. I have even tried to unmount the device in linux and it still doesn't show in windows or the settings for the VM.
thanks for the help,
Jeff
