Host Linux Mint 20.1 Cinnamon, updated
Guest: Windows 10, updated
VM: Version 6.1.18 r142142 (Qt5.12.8)

Under Device Shared Clipboard and Drag & Drop are set to bi-directional but both do not work. Also changing for test purpose to "to host" and "to guest" did not work.

Share folders are not set up yet.

What could I do to get Shared Clipboard and Drag & Drop working in bi-directional?

Thanks in advance for your helping comments.

Guest Additions are required in the VM. If you believe you have them installed, please post a log.

Start the VM from full normal shutdown, not save-state. Try shared clipboard and drag-n-drop, then shut down the VM from within the VM's OS if possible. If not possible, close the Virtualbox window for the VM with the Power Off option set.

Right-click the VM in the main Virtualbox window's VM list, choose Show Log. Save the far left tab's log and the hardening log next to it, zip them, and post the zip file, using the forum's Upload Attachment tab.

Thanks for your reply.

Guest edition - Sorry I don't know how to run such a log. Hope it helps I attached a screen shot.

I tested 3 VMs, all are Linux Host and Windows guest
W10 PredWind = W10 VM
W7 _32bit Pro_OS = W7 VM
WFM Basic_01 = XP VM

I followed your advice, shut down all VMs within the VM (Normals Windows Shut Down). Here are the results:
XP VM:
Copy & Paste bi-directional OK
Drag & Drop bi directional OK

W7 VM:
Copy & Paste bi-directional OK
Drag & Drop bi directional OK

W10 VM:
Copy & Paste bi-directional and one-directional NOT OK
Drag & Drop bi-directional and one-directional NOT OK

I attached log-file of the W10 VM; the log file for the XP and W7 could not be uploaded due to their size.

I hope this information helps you.

The log shows no Guest Additions installed. The GAs "CD" is loaded into the CD drive, but the installer has not been run yet. Go to the VM's CD drive and run the installer exe.
