Ubuntu Stopped Working

Hi, I'm running W10 and have an Ubuntu VB. It was working fine. I have done two things.

1.) I experimented with Docker. I used this guide:

https://ubuntu.com/tutorials/windows-ub ... containers

2.) I updated VirtualBox to the latest version 6.1.22.

I didn't change any Windows Features when I was playing with Docker.

Now Ubuntu starts up and gets I think all the way to the log in screen, except instead of the login screen I now just see a black screen with a blinking underscore in the top left corner.

Any ideas what I should try?

Docker enables Hyper-V, and Hyper-V interferes with Virtualbox in many situations.

Please right-click the VM in the main Virtualbox window's VM list, choose Show Log.

Search the far left tab's log for this text:

Attempting fall back to NEM

If you find it, Hyper-V is enabled and needs to be disabled. See HMR3Init: Attempting fall back to NEM (Hyper-V is active).

If you don't find that text, save the far left tab's log, zip the log file, and post the zip file, using the forum's Upload Attachment tab.

Did the search, found your search string.

My Hyper-V in Windows settings was off but if you went to systeminfo.exe it was still on. Had to follow this guide:

https://petri.com/how-to-disable-hyper- ... windows-10

to turn it completely off. Everything works fine now. Thanks!
