odd network problems

Hi There.
I've been wondering if you can help me in my odd problem:
About one week ago i upgraded from VB2.0.0 to VB2.0.2 and everything worked fine (including the creation of new virtual disks that was my main problem due to a now solved bug) and 3 days ago i expanded my WinXP vm from a 10gb disk to a 15gb disk using clonezilla, and again no problem at all.
But yesterday without nothing unusual have happened suddently i couldn't get any internet access in any of my vm's (WinXP Pro and Ubuntu8.04), i can have access to the shared folders and get an IP but cannot connect to the internet, i've tryed reinstalling the VB software and guest additions and even downgrade to 2.0.0 and 1.6.6 but nothing worked.
I've also tryed changing the access mode from NAT to Host Interface but that didn't help either
In my current system the virtualbox is installed on a laptop with WinXP Pro installed and access the internet mainly by wireless which then is passed to the vm by NAT, i can access the internet on the host machine and i don't use any firewall (not even the windows standart) in it.
Does anyone have any idea of what should be causing this ?
Also i noticed that when the virtualbox is unistalled it leaves the drivers behind, is it possible to completly remove the software and do a fresh install ?
