Hi everyone !
I'm wondering if there is a tip for having more than 4GB hard disk on a virtual machine when using windows host ?

I know that i can add many hard disk but it does not solve my problem. I would like to set up a developement machine but visual studio can only be installed in "Program Files", i cannot choose another partition. And with all tools and SDK i have to install, it is over than the 4GB limit.

Any help would be great !

PS: I'm aware that linux can handle huge file but i simply can't use it for many reasons yet. I have to stick with Windows OS and NTFS file system.

With NTFS Files greater than 4 GB is no Problem.

I think there is crappy FAT32 format.

To rephrase; the 4 GiB (4,294,967,296 bytes) file size limit only applies to a FAT32 volume - the file size limit on an NTFS volume is 16 EiB (18,446,744,073,709,551,616 bytes).
