Posted: 1. Apr 2021, 12:45
Hello,
what happened so far:
- Host System is Windows 10 Enterprise on
- Gigabyte AORUS B550i Pro AX Mainboard with
- AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU and
- Samsung 970 EVO NVMe M.2 Solid State Module and
- 64GB Patriot PC3200 Viper Steel Gaming RAM
- Installed Oracle VirtualBox 6.1.18
- Configured new VM with 8GB RAM and 20GB HDD on path C:\Virtuelle Maschinen\VirtualWindows_orig
- Downloaded "Media Creation Tool" from Microsoft and downloaded Windows 10 installation image
- Started new VM and put in Windows 10 installation image as boot-device
- VirtualBox said failure "not in a hypervisor partition", (Keywords for others: Secure Virtual Machine Mode (SVM), Virtualization Technology (VT), AMD-V) solved by: reddit com/r/gigabyte/comments/bup7hr/where_is_virtualization_in_bios/
I think this failure is now solved. I enabled SVM in BIOS.
Please see on youtube what happens when starting the VirtualMachine:
youtube com/watch?v=W4WtUxDKgqg
I have no failure-message.
Any solution for this?
Thanks - Enomine
