Whenever I try to open any of my VM images, I get an error saying
Failed to open a session for the virtual machine vm.
The virtual machine 'vm' has terminated unexpectedly during startup with exit code 1 (0x1). More details may be available in 'D:\CSE486\vm\Logs\VBoxHardening.log'.
Result Code: E_FAIL (0x80004005)
Component: MachineWrap
Interface: IMachine {85632c68-b5bb-4316-a900-5eb28d3413df}
That is an example of one of the VM images I am trying to open.
I have looked around and done a lot of what was recommended me to do such as
- uninstalling VirtualBox and restart PC and then reinstalling it
- Trying to install vboxdrv again
- Even uninstall some updates on my windows PC
I am trying to reach out now here to get some help. I can upload the logs of VboxHardening via a zip.

Re: VM not allowing me to launch
The only error I'm seeing in the log is a hashing error on System32\OpenGL32.dll. Have you done anything that would affect this DLL, e.g. replace it with something claiming to be more up-to-date OpenGL?
Note that a normal graphics driver install, e.g. NVidia or Radeon, does not disturb this file. In fact I've never seen anything that does.
You should be able to verify this diagnosis by disabling 3D acceleration in the VM.
