Installing Windows 95 virtual machine
Installing Windows 95 virtual machine
I am trying to Install a Windows 95 virtual machine...I clicked new, checked the settings, and it claims there is an invalid setting --says that I have hardware virtualization turned on in the acceleration tab of the systems page. I went there, tried to to turn off the hardware virtualization. I clicked off the checkbox, but the invalid setting warning is still there, and I can't click ok. I have included a screenshot. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Re: Installing Windows 95 virtual machine
That warning message is a bit squiffy imo, and needs a re-wording.
The checkbox you were unchecking "Hardware Virtualization" is not the box that used to be there that the error message is referring to.
The error message is referring to the host BIOS's hardware virtualization, which is turned on in the host's BIOS, not in Virtualbox. And if you are using a Windows 10 or 2019 host, Hyper-V can use up hardware virtualization before Virtuakbox could get to it.
See everything in I have a 64bit host, but can't install 64bit guests
Once you get that fixed, our 95/98 tutorial viewtopic.php?f=28&t=9918 may help.
