Setting Screen Resolution

I am running VirtualBox on a Windows machine. I have my Windows machine's screen resolution set to 1920 by 1080. I have a Linux virtual machine running with VirtualBox on my Windows machine. I want my Linux virtual machine running at 1920 by 1080, like my Windows machine, so I can run my Linux virtual machine at my full laptop screen size. I have gone into the display settings on my Linux virtual machine and it does not have a 1920 by 1080 screen resolution option. Is there a way to add 1920 by 1080 to my Linux virtual machine's screen resolution options, either for that particular virtual machine, or across all of my virtual machines?

The VM must have Guest Additions installed, then you can use Full-Screen to match the VM screen size to the host PC screen size. See https://www.virtualbox.org/manual/ch04. ... ions-linux and the prerequisites https://www.virtualbox.org/manual/ch02. ... nux-prereq.
