Segmentation fault installing Ubuntu 32 bits

Hi,

I don't succeed to install a Ubuntu VM. I got "Segmentation faults" from right at beginning.
I'm running Win7.
With VirtualBox-5.2.44
Installing either xubuntu-18.04.5-desktop-i386 or kubuntu-18.04.5-desktop-i386.

Screenshot in annex.

I'm really new to system stuff and even more to Linux.

Any idea on what to solve this ?

Thanks

Start the VM from full normal shutdown, not save-state. Run until you see the problem happen, then shut down the VM from within the VM's OS if possible. If not possible, close the Virtualbox window for the VM with the Power Off option set.

Right-click the VM in the main Virtualbox window's VM list, choose Show Log. Save the far left tab's log and the hardening log next to it, zip them, and post the zip file, using the forum's Upload Attachment tab.

Here you have. Thanks.
I couldn't stop the VM from the command line. "shutdown" was not recognized. "exit" had some strange behaviour. The VM did not respond to an ACPI shutdown. So I ended up by forcing the shutdown manually.

Your Intel i3-3240 CPU supports VT-x, so I recommend that you enable it in your host BIOS. That will avoid the need for all the PATM hacks that I see in the VM log.
