Okay, sorry if this has been asked before (cannot seem to find the right search sweet-spot) but I've downloaded the AMD64 version of VirtualBox and enabled Virtualization on my Intel Core 2 duo laptop but the checkbox for VT is still greyed out when I try to set up a guest system. My host system is Vista Home Premium - 64-bit. Any help would be appreciated

Check your bios, my HP was disabled there from the factory.

Yeah. I double checked my BIOS settings. It says Virtualization is enabled. Unfortunately, I can't see if there are any other settings I need to enable as well

Someone else on this forum had a bug in his BIOS where when he turned it on, he wasn't able to use it, but after he disabled it, the option was available. Try that and see if it makes a difference.

Check the wiki article on 64bit Intel CPUs to make sure that your Core 2 supports VT-x. Quite a lot don't.

Well, I tried to disable the Virtualization in the BIOS but I still am unable to enable the VT extensions in VirtualBox. I also checked and according to what I found, the P7350 should support virtualization.
