I have an existing linux (Fedora server which I would like to make a virtualbox of (so that I can test configs in a virtual space before deploying).
Is this possible?

Yes you can P2V a Linux installation quite easily, but if you don't want to screw up the original partition during your playing around then copy it to a VDI.
