I really need someone to figure out how can I use the serial port in my virtual box.
I want to use old PLC and on my laptop, I installed windows 98 (virtual box), now I am using USB to rs-232 cable to communicate with PLC. Unfortunately, I am not able to find drivers for it or VIRTUAL COM PORT.
(mod edit - it appears your host is 10, not XP)

Re: USB & Serial Comm (Windows XP Host + Windows 98 Guest)
If you are using the Virtualbox USB filtering redirect system, then your device needs drivers for 98. These aren't of course available here, you'll have to web-search them, if they exist.
You may do better letting the host PC run the device and pass the serial port thus generated into the VM. How to: Add a Serial Port in Windows XP and 7 Guest, though for later OS's, may help.
