Hi
I lost my admin password and trying to reset it on the server 2012 virtual machine.
I need to get to command prompt on login screen and is unable to by pressing Windows key + U.
Pressing the ease of access link does not work as well.
Please advise.
Thx

Re: Windows keyboard key
What is on the screen when you boot the vm? Usually on a server vm you can get to the login screen when you boot it by inserting a Ctl-Alt-Del into the vm from the Input tab at the top of the vm window.

Hi
Yes Ctrl Alt Del does work and we get the usual login.
If you press Windows Key U we should get to command prompt to run net user administrator
I tried the Windows Key on soft keyboard but that does not work as well.

Re: Windows keyboard key
I don't have a Windows 2012 vm to check. On a Windows 2019 vm, Windows Key+U gives you the display settings, just like Windows 10. If you do it before you log in, you get the Narrator and other pre-logon settings like High Contrast and Sticky Keys.
