Bridged Network Adapter Limit 20m

Limited product experience, so newbie question.

I have VirtualBox 6.1.16 running on a Windows 10 host with a Windows Server 2003 guest.
The guest is setup with Bridged Networking to the host gigabit ethernet adapter.
Though I don't recall setting up any limits, it appears bandwidth is limited to 20 Mbit.

How do remove the limit on the bandwidth?

There is a command to do this:
example from manual wrote:VBoxManage bandwidthctl "VM name" add Limit --type network --limit 20m
VBoxManage modifyvm "VM name" --nicbandwidthgroup1 Limit
VBoxManage modifyvm "VM name" --nicbandwidthgroup2 Limit
Let's see if you have one. Please right-click the VM in the main Virtualbox window's VM list, choose "Show in Explorer/Finder/File Manager". In the window that opens, zip the VM's .vbox file, and post the zip file, using the forum's Upload Attachment tab. (If you have a Windows host, please make sure all file extensions are shown, so you will be able to see the .vbox extension easier.)

Thanks for posting a reply.

I determined there was no limit coming from a bandwidth control.

The limit was coming from the setup of the VM itself, and was my error. I set the machine up as a single CPU.

When the throughput maxed it was the CPU maxing out, not anything to do with the bridged networking setup. And that max was actually around 25 MB/sec, or nearly 200 Mbit.

I was getting the 20 Mbit with a particular iSCSI target, hosted on a QNAP NAS. The poor performance (I think) came from migrating from an older version of firmware. Recreating the target on the newer version gave an increase to 25 MB/sec, which was acceptable.

Thanks again!
